You might recall that Sony Pictures Entertainment was hacked last October by probably-North-Korean-hired hackers that were protesting Sony’s release of the Seth Rogan/James Franco comedy The Interview. That hack involved dumps of large compressed files of thousands of emails blasted into the internet.
Since that time, WikiLeaks has been collecting the majority of the Sony email leak and those people with interest have been combing through the backlogs of people’s private business email looking for news or insight into just what happened with Sony Pictures Entertainment.
Granted, all of these emails are old and most of these projects have changed or are out of date. There’s also snippets of personal information about Sony executives like Amy Pascal, so let your conscience be your guide if you want to read – just like everything on Wikileaks.
One notable email stood out to me, a Spider-Man fan and one of the few people who instantly saw Amazing Spider-Man 2 and said: “Odd movie, but that dubstep electro is kind of brilliant.”
