George Bluth Sr.’s Cornballer might not be a real kitchen gadget, but this little baby is. It’s called DestapaBanana, and it has crossed the border to put an end to all the ridiculous, banana-based healthy snacking Americans do every day.

The process is simple enough: insert a banana into the chamber, then grip the handle and let ‘er rip! The fruit’s insides are removed as quickly and effortlessly as Mola Ram removes that hapless Thugee sacrifice’s heart in The Temple of Doom. Once the banana tunnel has been bored, you’re free to fill it back up with anything you want. The makers offer examples like dulce de leche and chocolate, but the sky’s the limit. Peanut butter. Fudge. Pop Rocks. Make bananas Foster inside your bananas. Everything’s fair game.

Then you just grab hold of the peel, pull it back, and enjoy it while you think of all those poor, miserable folks out there who are eating plain old bananas stuffed with banana — which you could also make with DestapaBanana, if you really wanted to.

How much will you have to pay for this miracle kitchen gadget? $100? Guess again. $50? Not even close. It’s bargain-priced at $24.50 on Amazon, but third-party seller GMS USA is also looking for $8.95 shipping.

That puts the total just north of thirty bucks, but just think of the looks you’ll get at work when you snap your banana in half and sugary goop comes oozing out of the middle. You’ll be the talk of the lunchroom, for sure.
