The Fantastic Four power up in first full trailer
By : Arjun KadaleevanamAfter months of teases, talk, and plenty of unknowns Josh Trank’s Fantastic Four finally has a full trailer. We’ve seen a teaser spot and even a look at The Thing in full rock-mode, but this is the first real look at the film in all its sci-fi superhero glory.
As you can see, this clip not only sets up the action of the movie, but also the relationships between Miles Teller’s Reed Richards, Kate Mara’s Sue Storm, Michael B. Jordan’s Johnny Storm, and Jamie Bell’s Ben Grimm. Better yet, fans and potential movie-goers get to see their hero alter egos Mr. Fantastic, Invisible Woman, Human Torch, and The Thing using their powers in a variety of ways. Plus, that last bit is the very first look at the film’s version of Doctor Doom.
Unlike the comics which saw the quartet earn their powers after taking an unscheduled space flight through cosmic rays, the film version grants them powers after going on an inter-dimensional journey to an alternate reality. Once returned, they must adjust to their wondrous new abilities while also dealing with a former friend-turned-enemy: Toby Kebbell’s evil blogger Victor Domashev (a.k.a. Doom).
The Fantastic Four launched in 1961 created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. The team developed into a cornerstone of the Marvel comic book universe and has been running consistently ever since. The team has appeared in a variety of cartoons and video games over the years, as well as two previous future films directed by Tim Story called Fantastic Four and Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer.
Trank’s new take on the team debuts on Aug. 7.

New trailer shows that Jurassic World will be a dinosaur bonanza
By : Arjun KadaleevanamIt’s a dinosaur bonanza in the latest Jurassic World trailer. Colin Trevorrow’s updated trip to the theme park unleashes a genetically modified beast called Indominus Rex created to bring in more attendees, but as you can see in the latest trailer, those folks might wind up in ridiculous amounts of danger.
Jurassic World stars Chris Pratt as raptor wrangler Owen Grady, and Bryce Dallas Howard as park bigwig Claire Dearing. The two clearly have a history together as we saw in an earlier clip, but they’ll have to put all that aside as they team up with head of security Vic Hoskins (played by Vincent D’Onofrio) to try and put a stop to Indominus’ rampage.
Jurassic World marks Trevorrow’s first attempt at a blockbuster film. His previous effort Safety Not Guaranteed focused on a group of reporters investigating a man’s ad about time travel. Trevorrow and his Safety writing partner Derek Connolly took a pass at the script, which was originally penned by Amanda Silver and Rick Jaffa, who in turn revitalized another franchise with Rise of the Planet of the Apes.
